DIY with a Friend: Custom Tablecloth
The Idea:
There’s no hiding the fact that I put my tablecloths to WORK. And one of my favorites, with a beautiful ruffle trim, had so many stains from oil, paint and who knows what else, that it was time to toss it. BUT I had an idea. What if we painted it? What if we fill it with color and turn it into a masterpiece filled with images that represent our friendship, the dinner parties and everything that makes us smile!
How We Did It:
We painted the tablecloth using acrylic paints. You could also use fabric markers or fabric paint, but I wasn’t interested in spending money on this upcycle project, I just wanted to use what I had on hand! We will continue to add to this tablecloth every time we get together and I can’t wait to see how it evolves over the years!
Pro Tip: Don’t have a stained tablecloth? Find one at a thrift store!
