Caprese Dip

The Idea:

Every host needs one of these in their back pocket. The recipe that takes five minutes, requires zero actual cooking, and somehow gets more compliments than the dish you spent two hours on. This caprese dip is mine.

It comes together faster than your guests can find a parking spot, and it looks like you tried way harder than you did. That is the whole magic of it.

What You Need:

  • Garlic and herb spreadable cheese (I use Alouette)

  • Basil infused olive oil (Brightland is my go-to)

  • Balsamic glaze

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • Black olives

  • Fresh basil

  • Crackers for serving (balsamic Triscuits are unreal with this)

How to Assemble:

  1. Spread the garlic and herb cheese across a shallow plate or small platter in an even layer.

  2. Drizzle the basil infused olive oil all over the top.

  3. Drizzle the balsamic glaze on top of that, going back and forth so you get those pretty ribbons.

  4. Scatter on the cherry tomatoes, black olives, and fresh basil.

If you are short on time or just not in the mood to arrange tomatoes one by one, skip the styling completely. Chop up the tomatoes, basil, and black olives together and pile it all on top like a bruschetta.
